Ambarella is the world leader in vision AI computing, with our AI SoCs already sitting inside millions of AI cameras. Ambarella's customers include global companies and span multiple verticals such as Smart Cities, Security, Industrial Robotics, Automotive and others.

We are now looking for a Sr. Developer Relations Engineer. This position is part of the product marketing team and will manage our developer relation efforts in leading AI and robotics industries.

A public facing role, this position requires strong technical competence and leadership capabilities in order to function efficiently and groom our developers network.

 

What you will be doing 

Ignite, cultivate and scale a global developer ecosystem centered on Ambarella’s low-power, vision-centric edge-AI SoCs.

  • Set the edge-AI developer ecosystem strategy: with OKRs and quarterly active-developer metrics and attach-rate targets for Ambarella’s Cooper Developer Platform.
  • Bootstrap lighthouse partnerships: secure and scale early-access programs with ISVs in industries including smart-cities, industrial robotics, healthcare, and AIoT
  • Prepare compelling demos and case studies to be presented in various Webinars and Developer Events throughout the year
  • Publish production-ready assets: code samples, docker containers, and white-papers that showcase vision AI applications running across Ambarella’s entire SoC portfolio.
  • Run hands-on enablement: lead workshops, hackathons, and “Cooper Labs”, helping developers accelerate dev velocity. 
  • Cultivate community channels: set up and actively monitor Discord/Forum AMAs, drive GitHub discussions, and reward third-party contributors through a new “Ambarella Developer Champions” program.
  • Measure what matters: build dashboards for Cooper AI Foundry downloads, MAU, forum DAU, and production design-wins. 
  • Pipeline developer feedback: synthesize pain-points (compiler, quantization, open framework integrations) and influence silicon/IP, toolchain, and roadmap priorities.
  • Orchestrate go-to-market: align Product, Business Development, Marketing, Field Apps, and Sales on quarterly developer launch narratives; package partner success into CES, GTC, and ISC West shows among other edge AI developer conferences.
  • Scale through alliances: onboard VARs and ODMs into Ambarella’s Cooper Developer Platform; co-fund regional dev-kits and joint solutions to multiply reach. 

 

Minimum qualifications

  • BS/MS in EE, CS, AI/ML, Data Science or related fields; 5+ yrs in embedded/edge AI products or DevRel roles.
  • Hands-on expertise with ONNX, Python, PyTorch, containerized ML pipelines; fluent in PyTorch optimization.
  • Demonstrated record of scaling developer or startup programs and closing technical ecosystem partnerships. 
  • Track record of publications or speaking engagements at top industry conferences like ICML, CVPR, NeurIPS, and other similar ML Developer Conferences. 
  • Skilled in executive communication and data-driven decision making.

                          

The base range is $141,000-$165,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to convert to a full-time regular position.
