Job Summary
This is a transformative role within HP's Enterprise Business Planning (EBP) program, delivering operational excellence and reimagining enterprise-wide planning and forecasting methodologies. The Machine Learning Engineer addresses complex business challenges with innovative approaches. Technical expertise is applied to develop forward-looking solutions that address current business limitations and future opportunities.
This role is responsible for driving a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists, guiding the development of machine learning projects. The role collaborates with business stakeholders to understand goals and define machine learning project requirements. The role develops project roadmaps, allocates resources, and sets clear milestones for the team.
Responsibilities
• Architects, develops and programs integrated software solutions, especially in support of the development, deployment and life cycle of machine learning models.
• Designs machine learning systems, runs machine learning tests and experiments, and retrains systems when necessary.
• Delivers results according to project schedules and quality while maintaining SLAs on velocity, productivity, and quality.
• Performs annotation to monitor and train machine learning models for multiple products.
• Participates in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
• Collaborates with data science and engineering teams to integrate machine learning solutions.
• Engages in state-of-the-art research in AI and ML, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of the industry.
• Leverages deep algorithmic knowledge to design and implement robust machine learning solutions.
• Manages departmental resources and maintains a high-performing team.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in computer programming languages, machine learning, algorithms, statistical methods, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $165,000 to $254,100 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
