Your New Role

Are you passionate about building intelligent systems that can reason, plan and make decisions?

As an AI Engineer (Agentic), you’ll focus on designing and engineering the decision‑making and reasoning layer that powers next‑generation automation. This role is about how systems think, not just how tasks execute.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Hyperautomation, you’ll design agent‑based AI systems that interpret context, reason over information, choose actions and adapt over time. You’ll work closely with data, automation and platform teams to ensure AI agents are safe, explainable, governed and production‑ready.

This role suits someone who enjoys deep problem‑solving, abstract thinking and experimentation, and who wants to push the boundaries of how AI systems operate inside complex, regulated enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, planning and goal‑driven decision‑making
• Develop and optimise RAG pipelines, memory strategies, prompts and tool‑use patterns
• Engineer safe‑autonomy designs, including guardrails, human‑in‑the‑loop controls and escalation paths
• Productionise AI agents using Python, DevOps and MLOps practices
• Monitor and improve agent behaviour, performance, drift and risk
• Collaborate with business, data and automation teams to identify high‑value AI use cases

What You’ll Need

• Strong hands‑on engineering experience building production solutions in complex environments
• Demonstrated experience with Python for AI engineering, experimentation and production workloads
• Experience designing or working with agent‑based or autonomous AI systems
• Solid understanding of LLMs, reasoning patterns, RAG, memory and tool orchestration
• Experience deploying AI solutions with appropriate governance, security and risk controls
• Strong analytical thinking, curiosity and ability to work through ambiguity
